A superb, long Moderne credenza encased in stunning exotic wood veneer, with sides and outer edges wrapped in a fine, hand-carved horizontal “grissinato” fluting or ribbing. Each door is paneled in goatskin and is anchored by an ornate, scrolled brass pull centered within a circular brass ring. The long cabinet sits on an elevated wood frame with beautifully tapered, outward-angled legs. Exemplary of the design elements found in Osvaldo Borsani’s work for ABV in the late 1940s.

Dating: Late 1940s to 1950s

Condition: Wood has been expertly re-polished. The goatskin parchment maintains its original patina, which we can lighten if so desired, and the patinated brass can be polished clean if preferred.
